A familiar hymn. A warm welcome. A conversation over coffee that becomes a friendship. These moments remind us that we belong. As we gather for our parish family Mass on November 1 at Our Lady of the Lake, we give thanks for the community entrusted to us and the future we are building together. Your generosity helps sustain the worship, welcome, and ministry we share. Make your pledge at neseattlecatholic.org by November 15.

November 3 is Election Day! Every social encyclical written by Pontiffs from Leo XIII onward has emphasized that Catholics have a fundamental responsibility to advocate for human rights, rights to food, shelter, health care, a way to earn a living, self-defense, and, most basic of all, the right to live. So, making our voice heard through voting becomes a serious responsibility.
As we go to the polls next week, we may wish to consider how our votes affect the rights of all persons. Will the policies we are voting for help bring about greater human dignity? Have the persons we intend to vote for voiced their commitment to make life more equitable and just?
We pray: Spirit of Wisdom, awaken in us to our duty to care for the basic needs of all people. Give us the conviction that our voice is needed so that justice may come to the poor and oppressed. Amen.

Thank you for helping bring hope and joy to our neighbors this holiday season! Click to learn more.
Throughout November, as we celebrate All Saints and All Souls, each of our churches will have a special place to remember loved ones who have passed away this past year. You are invited to write their names in the Book of Remembrance, light a candle in their honor, and bring a small photo to display alongside the names of those whose funerals were celebrated in our churches. Together, we will pray for all those who have touched our lives and gone before us in faith.

Why is the expansion of women’s roles in the Catholic Church important to me? Why is discerning whether to restore women to the diaconate important to me? Who is a Catholic woman who shaped your faith life?
Hear members of our Phoebe Circle and women in our Archdiocese answer these questions, and answer some yourself at our Phoebe Forum at St. Bridget's Parish Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 4th at 6:30 pm.
