Dear Friends in Christ,
On Thursday, January 22nd, I gathered with staff to celebrate the birthday of Torrie Smith, our director of operations. This was an occasion to celebrate her life and her ministry in our NE Seattle Catholic Community. Torrie oversees our parish budgets, staff, and all facilities-related matters. We could not begin to manage this without her hard work and administrative skills. Thank you, Torrie!
On January 22, over 60 people gathered at St. Bridget Parish to watch a documentary about The IF Project, a Seattle-based program that reduces women’s incarceration rates and supports them after prison. The viewing, initiated by participants in last spring’s JustFaith series on racism, was followed by a thoughtful and informative conversation with the Project’s founder. The video “The IF Project” is available at the public library through Canopy. It is moving & powerful!

Not interested in snowshoeing—we plan to do urban walks on: Wednesday, February 4, at 10:30, UW area; Saturday, February 21, at 9:30, Seward Park. Our next meeting: Tuesday, March 10, 6-7 pm at Assumption Parish.
