Come connect with friends old and new at our Social Seniors Gathering on Wednesday, April 9 at 11:00 AM in the parish hall! Enjoy good company, great conversation, and light refreshments. All are welcome—bring a friend!
We look forward to seeing you there!
St. Francis House, a day center for working poor/homeless folks for over 50 years, really needs sandwiches. Please consider making them with your family, friends, and neighbors.
It's an excellent way to earn service hours for your school! Sandwiches should consist of simple, inexpensive bread (white or whole wheat) with peanut butter/jelly or lunchmeat/cheese or tuna. Place in individual baggies, then back into loaf bag. Learn More...
Inspired by St. Camillus de Lellis (1550-1614), the patron saint of nurses, hospitals, and the sick, our Camillus ministers are specially trained lay volunteers who work alongside hospital chaplains at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Join us for Movie Nights at St. Bridget’s! We will have light snacks and beverages available; feel free to bring snacks and drinks of your own! We are looking for teen volunteers to help at the first two screenings—service hours are available! An optional monetary or item donation to the St. Vincent de Paul Society will be gratefully appreciated at each screening.
Join the Social Justice Ministry in a 9-day Novena to St. Juan Diego, praying for the safety and care of refugees and immigrants worldwide. The Novena will occur daily at noon, from March 19 (Feast of St. Joseph) to March 27. We will pray the USCCB prayer together for 10 minutes via Zoom. If you can’t join live, please consider praying on your own. We may not be able to do much alone, but we can unite in prayer and solidarity. Click for link to join Zoom.
Four babies are expected at the Refugee Resettlement Project in the next six weeks! Please help us give these mothers and their babies a warm welcome by participating in our baby shower. Any new and/or gently used, clean baby items would be greatly appreciated. Bassinets, strollers, car seats, baby clothes, bath items, diapers, and wipes—these families are starting with nothing and will appreciate your donations and gifts! Click to learn more.
ASSUMPTION FISH FRY
All are welcome!
The Assumption Fish Fry will be Friday, April 11th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the ASB gym. We welcome our NE Seattle Catholic Community to this much-loved event. Click to purchase a ticket and sign up to volunteer.
Bringing the Eucharist to Those in Need Do you know someone who is unable to attend Mass but would like to receive Holy Communion? Please contact your parish office so we can arrange for a minister to visit them. We are also looking for volunteers to serve as Homebound Ministers, bringing the Eucharist and a sense of community to those who cannot join us in person. If you're interested in this meaningful ministry, please reach out to Fr. Duc Nguyen. For more details, check the parish bulletin. Thank you for helping us extend Christ’s love to all.
We are pleased to announce that the St. Catherine Parish and School Parent Club will bring Irish Pub Night back to Victoria Hall on Saturday, March 15th, after the 5 o’clock mass. A corned beef and cabbage dinner and traditional Irish music played by local band Fiddle In The Forest will be provided. Wear your green and join us for a fun adults-only community event! There are flyers by the door as well.
Rice Bowls are available for pick-up after Mass. We encourage everyone to participate in this meaningful Lenten tradition. This year, instead of returning your filled bowls, please count your collected cash/coins and donate online. Thank you for your generosity!
Lenten Little Black Books are available for pick up after Mass. The books are a mediation of the Passion, according to John. They are a companion for Lent.
