Dear Friends in Christ,

A happy Father’s Day this Sunday to all the dads in our community! Thank you for the important role you play in your children and grandchildren’s lives. Prayers and blessings as we celebrate your loving presence in our families!

Speaking of fathers, Fr. Duc and I will be attending the annual “Priest Days Conference” at Ocean Shores from Sunday evening, June 21, to Thursday afternoon, June 25. This is an opportunity for priests in our archdiocese to gather for prayer, reflection, and fellowship. I have had the privilege of serving the church as a priest for 45 years. I’ve known many priests over the years and found most of them to be sincere, faith-filled, and generous servants of the church. As human beings, some of them have been broken individuals who caused harm and hurt toward the people they served. Let’s pray for healing and reconciliation for these wounds in our lives as the church. 
Please God, the Partners in the Gospel Program of renewal we are going through will be a source of new vitality for all the ministers of the church, including her priests.
