While speaking at Mass this week to some of our students at St. Catherine’s School, I told them something that caught them by surprise. The celebration of Holy Week, which culminates in Easter, is more important than Christmas. The reason we can celebrate the birth of the Lord is that Jesus suffered, died, and rose from the dead. The resurrection is our reason to be as Christians! Gathering for all these markers of our faith in Christ is important, but none more so than the triduum and the Easter season.
So once again, please note the times and locations for our various liturgies next week and try to participate in as many as you can! Extend an invitation to family, friends, and others to feel most welcome to join us. These coming celebrations are the source of our hope and joy in the Lord! Let’s plan to share it!
